A Sick Kennedy is an Unhappy Kennedy...
I used to be the sick girl. If someone who worked in the building next to me got a cold, I’d have it within the hour. I was sick at LEAST once a month and had to do double shots of Nyquil as I had built up such an immunity to it’s sleepy ways. However, since I’ve been eating better and exercising, I haven’t been sick. Really. Like, at all. So yesterday I start to feel that scratch in my throat and I know the evil bug has made it’s way into my system, and I’m pissed!
I left work yesterday and was in bed by 11:30. Dr GTL made sure I took some Vitamin A and some other concoctions he whipped up for my health, but I was sure to take a healthy pull of the Nyquil. I woke up sometime around 3ish to an empty house not exactly sure where I was. I got about 1/2 a bowl of Ramen down and was right back to bed. Woke up again at around 10:30pm and then was up and down from midnight until the alarm started screaming at 3am. Can I just say Nyquil gives me some wacked out dreams. Straight up weird stuff. I really should write them down, but I never do and I’m left with a vision in vapor of what I thought I saw. Dreams are funny like that, if you don’t take the time to remember they are gone in an instant. I remember the main players in the dream and a few locations, but other than that it’s gone. So strange. I’m looking forward to more Nyquil-inspired dreams in an hour or two.
Needless to say, I had 1/2 bowl of Ramen and a handful of vitamin A yesterday and that’s it. Today, 3 crackers and more A. Ugh.

Validation!
So, yesterday I was over at Dr. GTL’s house, and I was in the kitchen cleaning up and stuff, and I overheard GTL talking on the phone. No, I wasn’t eavesdropping, but it was about my Halloween costume, so of course I stopped to listen. ANYHOO, after he gets off the phone he tells me he was talking to one of his peers, a fellow Dr., and the guy who got him involved in this weight loss system. I had met this Dr. at a dinner about 4 months ago, and he said that I should be shouting from the rooftops because I looked great. He said he could really see a change. It’s sometimes the people who only see you every once and a while that help you see the progress you have made. It feels great – makes me want to work even harder. Seriously, this system rocks! If you want more info or just need that extra push to start, email Dr. GTL and he will get you on the road!
Other than that, it’s been a fairly decent day. Went shopping and bought some really cute clothes. It’s the best part of losing weight – getting clothes that fit instead of clothes that cover and camouflage. Seriously, I had a Masters Degree in finding clothes that covered the bad parts and tried to emphasize the few good. Lots of black, lots of layers and lots of long tops. While I will never give up the black clothes, it’s so great to get things that are fitted, that show off my curves and that don’t make me have to turn, bend and suck in to look good at only one angle. You know what I’m talking about. You think it looks sort of good, but someone takes a picture at a weird angle and you look like you weigh so much more. I’m worrying about those things less and less and it’s amazing.
I’m going to start shopping for bikinis in a few weeks and it doesn’t make my palms sweat anymore. Seriously. Last time I felt like that I was a freshman in college.
That’s it for today. Hope your day was great!
xoxo
